Following National BFF Day, here are some simple tips on how to show your BFF just how much you care and love them.
Make sure to listen. Even if the topic is not a big deal to you, it may be to your friend. How many times have you felt uplifted or in a better frame of mind when you have got something off your chest? Even if you don’t have any answers, it’s the listening that is precious in a friendship.
Most people like surprises! So an organised surprise, whether it be small and sweet or an ‘all out’ party, is the perfect way to show you care. For a previous birthday, my BFF Debbie arrived at my house unannounced, picked me up, and said, “I’m taking you out to breakfast”. In the winter’s sun we sat at Ripple’s in North Sydney and enjoyed an hour or two just catching up. These small, unexpected moments are the ones that are remembered the most.
A Letter to Your Bestie
Although a dying practice, receiving a written note in the snail mail can be touching. Nowadays we keep in contact with our friends via email, text or Facebook, however taking the time to write a personal card or note will show your friend just how much you care.
Small Gift, Big Heart
Show your girlfriend that you are thinking of them with flowers, chocolates or even a TLL collective box. A wonderful box full of feel good inspirational bits, cards, notes and even a good food bar. Or what about our new GG gift pack with our Collect Moments, Not Things white canvas tote bag, matching luggage tags, GG pink journal with sparkly pen and our signature GG vanilla & pear soy candle.
Every girl needs a little time out, so why not give your girlfriend the time out she deserves with a pamper day. Book in a manicure or pedicure together for a chance to relax, catch up and listen to one another. If you’re more tempted by a full body treatment, Aroma Ki, Collaroy has a wonderful Mud Rasul treatment that you can share with your bestie. Check it out here.
With these simple suggestions showing your girlfriends you care can be a regular practice (not just for National BFF Day).
